My name is John and in a nut shell, I engrave any item of jewellery, glassware and precious metals at a fair price and on time.

My workshop is on the fifth floor at House of Fraser Manchester, formerly known as Kendals, where I've been since 1978. I am in the store Monday to Saturday.

Within the store since 1978. Also in Rossendale, Lancashire.

No two days are ever the same and I really love my job.

In addition to traditional hand engraving, I engrave by computerised machine (See Video) for more geometrical work or large quantity runs. The most important piece of work is always the one that I happen to be working on, whether it's a monogram on a bottle of Champagne, an inscription inside of a bangle, or a hotel monogram on 2,500 units of cutlery.
